Abstract
Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) teds to experience a drastic increase every year. According to the latest data from Ministry of Health, cases of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) have increased to 98,893 with 661 deaths. Although it has been advisedby the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Indonesia (Kemenkes RI), there are still some obstacles in carrying out Mosquito Nest Eradication (PSN) activities, especially in Cimanggis sub-district. This research was started from May to June 2021, with purpose for knowing the relationship between the characteristics, knowledge, and behavior of jumantik cadres in preventing Dengue Fever in Cimanggis sub-district, Depok city in 2021. The research design used was cross sectional, using random sampling technique for sampling data. And using the Slovin formula in determining the number of samples, which are 104 jumantik cadres. The data collection technique in this study was using a questionnaire that was distributed evenly to respondents via google form. Results of this study indicate that the largest percentage of respondents aged over 45 years – 55 years (65.4%), education at the end of senior high school (92.3%), and has good knowledge in preventing Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (78.8%). The behavior of jumantik cadres is good in preventing Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (80.8%). Based on the results of the Chi Square statictical test, it showed that the age of the jumantik cadres didn’t have a signicants relationship in the prevention behavior of Dengue Hemorrhagic Fever (DHF) with a p-Value 0.607; jumantik cadre education didn’t have a significant relationship in dengue prevention behavior with a p-Value 0.648; knowledge of jumantik cadres has a significant relationship in dengue prevention behavior with a p-Value 0.032.
